Boston Green Action joins with Moms Clean Air Force to deliver an urgent call to cut climate pollution from power plants.
“Fossil fuel power plants are responsible for almost a quarter of the climate pollution generated by the US. These plants also release deadly air pollution. We must clean up this pollution so that our families have cleaner air and a more stable climate.
EPA has proposed comprehensive standards that would avoid hundreds of millions of metric tons of carbon pollution through 2042. The proposed standards would also cut tens of thousands of tons of soot, sulfur dioxide, and smog-forming nitrogen oxide pollution. We have a moral responsibility to support these smokestack standards to protect the health and well-being of our children and future generations.”
