“Dig Energy Completes First Commercial Geothermal Heating and Cooling Installation in Boston”

The project, he explains, “is the first to deploy Dig Energy’s compact, modular rig on an active commercial jobsite. Site drilling at 100MAG began in early August and was completed in approximately two weeks.

Dig Energy’s value proposition is making geothermal heating, cooling, and refrigeration accessible and affordable at commercial scale using its proprietary drilling platform. The purpose-built drill uses high-pressure fluid drilling instead of traditional carbide drill bits, thus reducing borehole installation costs by up to 80%. Moreover, the technology runs with a fraction of the crew, footprint, and disruption of conventional drilling equipment, and the active work area at any given time occupies just a few parking spaces.”
